Counseling Services

Ron Kemp

Churchnet (a ministry of the Baptist General Convention of Missouri) is concerned about the needs of pastors and other staff members serving our churches. Many of these individuals carry a very significant ministry load.

Dr. Ron Kemp has agreed to partner with the BGCM to offer counseling to ministers, church staff or church members who might be interested.  Dr. Kemp is a well known licensed psychologist and licensed marriage and family therapist.

You may recognize his name from a column he writes each month in the Word & Way.  Dr. Kemp is available for pre-scheduled appointments.  Persons interested in talking with Dr. Kemp should call his office at 417-326-2902.

If you need counseling assistance and are interested in other options please contact the Churchnet office.  Fees will be programmed on a graduated scale, but no one will be refused counseling for financial reasons.  Medical insurance can also be filed.  Strictest confidence is assured.

We will also assist pastor and church staff in identifying places for personal retreats and recovery programs.  Please contact us if we can be of assistance.
