Missions Mobilization

Our Board of Directors and Churchnet Staff are organized into a series of ministry teams.  These teams allow us to better focus on our strategic initiatives and respond to requests from churches.

From their inception, Baptists have always been a mission-minded denomination, taking very seriously the Great Commission with its challenge to take the gospel to the ends of the earth and make disciples among all nations.  Churchet shares that historic Baptist dedication to missions and we are committed to helping churches do their part in faithfully obeying Christ's command.

Churchnet stands ready to assist churches to engage in mission outreach by providing the following resources:

  • missions education materials
  • channels for giving to missions causes
  • networks for engaging in direct, hands-on mission projects
  • training to prepare churches and members for cross-cultural mission experiences

It is our goal to serve the Baptist churches in Missouri by enabling them to become Great Commission churches with a passion to see a lost world introduced to the life-changing message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Churchnet is committed to assisting volunteers as they seek to become involved in missions.  Churchnet provides networking opportunities with a broad range of mission partners.  By exploring the myriad of opportunities you can find just the right one for you or your church.  We will help you discover an opportunity suited to your specific gifts and calling.  You may also want to request a mission team or volunteer to assist your church with a ministry need, or you may suggest a mission opportunity for another congregation to consider.

If are seeking an opportunity or are interested in serving, please contact the Missions Mobilization Team or contact the Churchnet office.  We will also help you develop prayer partners for your mission efforts. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Gary Snowden is the Missions Mobilization Team leader. His early experience includes: 9 years computer and data processing for the banking industry, bi-vocational pastoral experience, and 2 years as a teaching fellow at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He served for 16 years as a missionary of the International Mission Board in Argentina and Mexico including teaching at the International Baptist Theological Seminary in Buenos Aires and the Mexican Baptist Theological Seminary in Mexico City.  He has written a variety of materials including several for use in theological education.  He is currently associate pastor of the First Baptist Church of Lee's Summit.  He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin and Master of Divinity and Ph. D. degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX.

Please contact the Churchnet office or our Missions Mobilization Team if we can be of assistance to your church.
